The five industries on our menu — wholesale, manufacturing, SaaS, agriculture, retail — are where we've done the most work. But they're not the only places we work.
The truth is, the best CRM implementations aren't industry-specific. They're business-process-specific. If you have a sales process, a service process, or relationships you can't afford to lose, AeyeCRM can help — regardless of what vertical you're in.
What we actually look for
Industry matters less than these traits:
- You're family-owned, founder-led, or relationship-driven. The work runs on trust and tenure, not headcount and quota.
- Too much knowledge lives in one person's head. When the founder is out, the business slows down. Customers get told "let me check with the owner."
- You're somewhere between $1M and $50M in revenue. Big enough that spreadsheets are breaking. Small enough that enterprise consultants would overcharge you.
- You're ready to document, not just buy software. The companies we work with understand that the CRM is the last step, not the first.
- You're thinking about the next ten years — succession, expansion, hiring, sale, generational handoff.
If any two of those describe you, we should talk — whatever industry you're in.
Industries we've worked with
Here are the verticals where we've done deep work. If yours isn't listed, that doesn't mean we can't help — it just means we haven't published a page about it yet.
- Wholesalers and distributors
- Manufacturing
- SaaS and software
- Farming and agriculture
- Retail
- Family businesses (our specialty across all industries)
Other industries we've helped
Behind the published industry pages, we've also worked with businesses in:
- Professional services — accountants, consultants, financial advisors, legal practices
- Construction and trades — contractors, electricians, plumbing, HVAC, specialty builders
- Real estate — brokerages, property management, commercial real estate teams
- Healthcare services — clinics, dental practices, specialty medical groups
- Nonprofit and education — membership organizations, training providers, foundations
- Hospitality and events — venues, caterers, event planning firms
- Logistics and transportation — freight, fleet, last-mile delivery
- Food and beverage — producers, distributors, specialty foods
Why industry matters less than process
A wholesaler in Texas and a construction company in Rhode Island look completely different on the surface. But under the hood, the problems are often identical: leads coming in faster than they can be tracked, deals slipping because nobody followed up, key customer information stuck in one person's email, no clear view of what's actually closing.
That's a process problem. CRM is the answer — but only if it's configured around your process, not some industry template a consultant pulled off the shelf.
Our SPA Method (Strategy, Process, Automation) was built for exactly this. We document how your business actually runs first, then we build the CRM around it. Industry-specific templates are a starting point — never the destination.
What we won't do
To be honest about fit: there are a few situations where we're not the right partner.
- Enterprise rollouts above 500 users. We work best with small and mid-sized teams. Big-system integrators are better for that scale.
- Industries with heavy regulatory requirements we don't know. Pharma sales, banking, securities — we'd be learning on your dime. There are specialists for those.
- "Just give us a Salesforce admin." If you want pure hands-on-keyboard work without strategy or process design, we're more expensive than you need.
Not sure if we're a fit?
The fastest way to find out is the Succession Scorecard. It's ten minutes, no email gate, and it'll tell you where your business sits on the readiness curve — whatever industry you're in.
Or, if you'd rather just talk it through, book a 30-minute consult with Philip. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that — and usually we can point you to someone who is.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only work with the five industries listed in your menu?
No. Those are the verticals where we've published the most material. We work with family-owned and founder-led businesses across many industries.
Will you work with my industry if you've never done it before?
Usually yes — if the business is the right size and the process problems are the kind we're good at. We'll be honest if it's not a fit.
How do you handle industry-specific compliance or data requirements?
For most industries, standard Salesforce or HubSpot configuration handles it. For heavily regulated verticals (pharma, financial services, healthcare with PHI), we'll point you to a specialist.
What's the smallest business you've worked with?
Around $500K in revenue, two-person team. That's the floor — below that, a CRM is usually overkill.
What if I'm bigger than your typical client?
We've done implementations for businesses up to about 100 users. Above that, we'll partner with you on strategy and process and bring in a delivery team for the hands-on build.
Can you help even if I haven't picked a CRM yet?
That's actually the best time to call us. We'll help you choose between Salesforce, HubSpot, or something else — based on your team and your roadmap, not on which platform pays the biggest referral fee.
